Courses and workshops Completion of face-to-face or virtual industry relevant educational content delivered by a trainer, expert or recognised institution.

Examples: MFAA, lender and aggregator courses, PD Day workshops, Member forums, Industry conferences, Lender accreditations, Aggregator and lender events, Online or live presentations, Webinars, Podcasts		 One CPD hour per hour of educational delivery or examination 25

Reading and research
Reading and reviewing industry relevant published materials in hard or soft copy and may include trade publications, news articles, journals, white papers, research reports, wikibroker.

Lender, aggregator and/or partner BDM meetings
Meetings covering process, policy, products and pricing.

Recognised qualifications
Formal qualifications which are industry relevant delivered by an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or higher education provider, eg university. Includes completion of:    
  • Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking*
  • Diploma in Mortgage Broking Management**

Delivering a presentation, demonstration or course Illustrating, informing and/or demonstrating industry relevant practice to colleagues, peers or other stakeholders, e.g. presentations for RTOs, at lender/aggregator PD events/forums. One CPD hour per hour of delivery 6
Active participation in representative forums or groups Being an active participant (presenter or panelist) in industry-based forums, committees, discussion groups, communities of practice, boards and/or panels whose purpose is achieving a common goal to advance the industry and/or profession. CPD HOURS

CPD will be allocated hour for hour. (i.e. one hour of CPD activity equals one hour allocated).

There will be no daily maximum of CPD hours.

For face-to-face events which contain networking opportunities:

  • For 1-3 hour events a maximum of 30 minutes of CPD for networking applies.
  • For events 3-6 hour events, a maximum of 60 minutes of CPD for networking applies.
  • For events running for 6 hours or longer, a maximum of 90 minutes of CPD for networking applies.

Preparation required prior to an event, or additional learning undertaken after an event (that directly relates to the event’s content) can be credited as CPD up to 30 minutes CPD per day.
