Weekly Market Activity Report
"The U.S. unemployment rate recently dropped to 3.7 percent, which is its lowest mark since December 1969. The economy continues to bear impressive fruit within and outside of residential real estate, and the Federal Reserve has reacted by raising the benchmark federal funds rate by a quarter of a percentage point, the third rate hike of 2018. While this may be undesirable news for those carrying high credit debt, it is also a reflection of a bright economic outlook." VIEW REPORT

A police report was written up on a theft during an Open House in Golden Valley at the beginning of this month. It is a good reminder to have a discussion with your sellers about open houses, showings and even REALTOR previews. Ask them to remove or take with them valuable items from the house. Hiding them isn’t enough, as perpetrators know where to look.
In this recent case, a middle-age, very average height/built woman with dishwater blonde hair came through a REALTOR open house. According to the agent, she talked a good line. Said she was single mom, two kids and said, “I love Tuesday Opens, so I don’t have to bother ‘my realtor’ and my kids have daycare/school.” This woman rifled through a drawer and stole.
