Rental Housing Continues as Key Focus at Local Level
 
Many local communities have been addressing rental housing and tenant issues. The city of Minneapolis has been quite busy. Minneapolis passed new Renter Protection Ordinance, held a study session on Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act and has voted to study Rent Control. Now Brooklyn Park is looking to replicate some version Renter’s Protection as well.

The Government Affairs Committee has been busy reviewing each of these issues and providing feedback. REALTORS® are encouraged to become familiar with these issues and get engaged.
