Competitive Base Salary and Annual Increases
Boulay’s compensation philosophy aims to provide transparency, consistency and equity in our compensation-related decisions. Team members receive a market competitive base salary determined by position level, experience, and work schedule (i.e. full-time, part-time PSA, etc.) For certain positions, specific relevant skills or certifications may also be factored in. Team members’ performance and compensation are assessed annually during the performance development and evaluation process, typically occurring in the summer.
Incentive Plan*
Eligible team members are rewarded on their efforts that go above and beyond standard position expectations to help serve our clients, attract and retain talent, and help advance the development opportunities of our team members.
Incentive Hours Bank*
Eligible team members may earn additional paid time away after hitting a certain threshold of billable hours (Jan – April).
Travel Bonus*
Boulay pays a travel bonus to team members who have out-of-town travel requirements that equal, or exceed, 15 nights per fiscal year. Thereafter, each additional night of out-of-town travel occurring in that fiscal year is also eligible for subsequent payment.
Boulay Financial Advisors (BFA) Incentive Compensation Program*
BFA team members may be eligible for the Incentive Compensation Program, which is a percentage target of base salary. As team members progress within the firm, the target incentive increases. Criteria for incentive payments are based on both BFA performance as well as individual performance. Most roles are eligible.
STEP Program
Eligible team members in operational departments are rewarded on their efforts that go above and beyond standard position expectations.
Employee Referral Bonus
Team members are encouraged to consider referring Boulay opportunities to candidates in their networks. Should a referral be hired, the team member will receive a referral bonus.
New Client Commissions
Team members who bring in new business receive 8% commission on services billed during the first three years of service to the client.
Insurance / Benefit Plan Options
Retirement (401k Plan)
Team members over the age of 21 may enroll in Boulay's 401(k) plan with Fidelity Investments. They can determine the amount of their payroll deduction and if they want to make either Pretax, Roth or After-Tax contributions (up to the IRS annual limits). At the end of each fiscal year, traditionally a discretionary employer contribution is made to a participant’s 401(k) account, regardless of the amount the team member contributes throughout the year.
