Prepare to Launch Your CPA Program
To help equip team members for successfully completing the CPA exam, this program includes a CPA preparation presentation and a one-on-one meeting with a Becker representative to develop an individualized study program.
Learning & Development
Boulay’s in-house Learning & Development department focuses on the professional growth of team members and operational effectiveness. L&D evaluates, designs, and implements technology solutions to provide best practice guidance and ongoing support to empower team members to work efficiently and effectively. L&D enhances the knowledge and skills of Boulay team members by developing and delivering accessible training and professional development opportunities that support Boulay’s mission of enriching the lives of Boulay team members. L&D strives for continuous improvement in practice areas and seeks ongoing feedback from team members at all levels to help drive technological, process, and educational change for the better.
Boulay University
This Learning and Development initiative helps team members realize their aspirations through intentional career progression and development. Boulay U offers proactive communication of training offerings, a comprehensive course catalog (including classes taught by industry-leading training providers), learning paths that help team members advance to the next level, and CPE compliance tracking.
Boulay Leadership Enhancement and Development Series (LEADS)
Boulay offers in-house leadership and professional development opportunities for team members through three different LEADS programs. Each program is targeted at different stages in one’s leadership journey and provides leadership training, education, and collaboration opportunities for team members as they grow and develop in their career at Boulay.
Rising Early Professionals (REP)
REP provides opportunities for development and connection among Boulay’s early-career professionals through various outlets, including volunteer and social networking opportunities. Through participation, first- and second-year team members gain greater awareness of Boulay’s service lines, make connections and share experiences with team members across the firm, and find opportunities for professional development.
Industry Licensure and Membership Fee Reimbursement
Boulay encourages team members to stay connected in professional organizations to obtain access to industry standards, changes, and development. Boulay covers some or all of the fees associated with pursuing licensure or memberships.
Boulay Buddy/Contact
A Boulay Buddy or Contact is a designated colleague available to help new team members acclimate to the Boulay culture, understand the firm and departmental processes and procedures, and introduce them to the larger Boulay team.
Primary Advisor
A Primary Advisor is a coach at the firm to help strengthen team members' connectedness to the firm, provide regular and substantive guidance for their career development and advancement, ensure accountability, and serve as the point-person for all employment needs.
Performance Development
Actions related to performance development occur within the Quantum Workplace system. Quantum Workplace provides team members with more relevant and timely dialogue through Primary Advisor meetings (at minimum quarterly 1-on-1 discussions) and the updating and tracking of goals. Team members can also obtain regular and timely feedback and receive recognition for excellent work.
